Dressed in a deep matte green ceramic case, this 44mm chronograph is the first-ever IWC timepiece to feature the new “Woodland” color, a tone derived from the flight suits of TOPGUN pilots and the forested terrains that serve as their aerial training grounds. Crafted from high-tech colored ceramic, the case showcases IWC’s decades-long expertise in the delicate process of tinting zirconium oxide with metallic oxides—a method requiring precision and countless iterations to perfect the hue. The monochromatic green theme continues through the dial and rubber strap with textile inlay, while the black hands and printing, accented with subdued green Super-LumiNova®, enhance nighttime readability without compromising the stealth aesthetic. For added durability and lightweight performance, the pushers, crown, and engraved case back are made from Ceratanium®—IWC’s proprietary material that combines the toughness of ceramic with the resilience and lightness of titanium. Powered by the in-house 69380 calibre beats at 4Hz/28800 vph, 33 jewels, power reserve of 46 hours (2 days), this automatic movement boasts a column-wheel chronograph, day-date display at 3 o’clock, and is protected by a soft-iron inner case against magnetic fields.
